Listen…A Silent Conversation
“What do you want people to understand about you the most?”

I live life deliberately. I adore my husband and my children. I believe that I can help people even if I only have a minute with them. I am passionate about people. I have made it a point in my life to acknowledge the introvert, the clown, the artist, the reserved, the distraught, the goofball, the thinker—these are my friends. I like to win.  I know how to win.  I love to help other people win. I collect art. I don’t have a favorite book—but I love books. I have fought, through my life, to keep the hum of perpetual noticing in my ears—that hum we all had as kids. I am an optimist. I am not a ‘rankist,’ nor am I a ‘stuckist.’
I think I was addicted to ramen noodles for awhile.
I have chutzpah. I am gutsy. I am also resilient and full of feeling. I enjoy engaging in thinking that involves changing direction, reconsideration, and wrestling with ideas. I want to make good decisions. And at the end of each day, I enjoy wondering if we could have done better. I am joyous, adventurous, cheeky, creative, inquisitive, demanding, competitive, caring, and defiant (against aggressiveness or self-serving behavior). In life, I want to be potent; to do good where I can and to hold my wit and my intelligence like a shield against some people's banality. Above all else, I know that the time for creative action is now and that we are a work of art. I believe in helping others become more of who they already are, so they can discover the full measure of what life can offer.
